Keanu Charles Reeves, whose first name signifies “cool wind over the mountains” in Hawaiian, was born September 2, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon. He is the child of Patricia Taylor, a showgirl and outfit architect, and Samuel Nowlin Reeves, a geologist. Keanu’s dad was conceived in Hawaii, of British, Portuguese, Native Hawaiian, and Chinese family line, and Keanu’s mom is originally from England. After his parents’ marriage disintegrated, Keanu moved with his mom and more younger sister, Kim Reeves, to New York City, at that point in Toronto.
